I LOVE apple crisp. It’s one of my favorite Fall desserts but I haven’t made it for a few years because I just couldn’t find the right recipe. This one, however, is IT. I finally found the best gluten-free apple crisp recipe and just had to share it. It can be made with regular flour too if you don’t need it to be gluten-free. I don’t know if it’s finally finding the right combo of ingredients or if it was our new favorite apples, but this combo just WORKS. My partners at Stemilt sent me some SweetTango® apples to use in a recipe & once the boys opened the package they sent & tried one, they were gone before I could even make anything! So pick up some SweetTango apples at the store & make the best gluten-free apple crisp you’ve ever tried. You won’t be disappointed.

The Best Gluten Free Apple Crisp Recipe

This apple crisp has the perfect amount of topping along with a creamy apple base. It’s the perfect amount of sweet to serve warm with some vanilla ice cream and tastes just as good warmed up the next day. I used Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free 1-to-1 baking flour. It just mixes and bakes up REALLY well so I definitely recommend trying it with this flour. If you use another flour blend let me know how it works out for you! This recipe was adapted from Tastes Better From Scratch.

Basically, you mix the topping, coat the apples, place in a dish, and bake! I slice my apples a touch thicker than I do when making my apple pie (I like thin slices for apple pie. We all agreed that this was the best recipe we’ve tried so far!

You can get the SweeTangos in the Phoenix area at Bashas, AJ’s, Fry’s and Walmart. If you can manage to keep the family from eating them all when you get home, definitely give this apple crisp a try!
