2 years ago today Chance hopped on a private jet (thanks to Wings of Rescue) with his rescuer Eldad from Hope for Paws and arrived at our house in Phoenix. Normally it’s good to take a walk with dogs getting acquainted for the first time (especially pitbulls) but Kona and Chance hit it off right away so we just went straight to the backyard for playtime.

A few hours was all it took for him to settle in to his new home. Chance was instantly a part of our family and we’ve had fun adventures ever since. His favorite things to do is sleep, cuddle with Mom, go on walks and eat. I’ve shared a couple of fun posts about the dogs trying out different flavors of NUTRO™ Rotations™ (a grain free dog food). For being rescued off the streets this dog sure learned quick what he likes and doesn’t like. If he keeps getting the same flavor food he gives me a look like “this again?” lol!

Chance loves his walks at night and we try to mix up our route as much as we mix up the flavors of his food. He lived for a couple of years not knowing where he would be safe or where his next meal would come from so he has a lot of fun to make up for.

We spend lots of family time outside so he loves to go from playing in the yard to lounging with Mom on the lounge chair. Last night we were setting up a new projector so we can enjoy more movies outside and Mr. Chance thought he’d help (he makes a better door than a window).

Our family definitely would not be the same without our guy. Here’s some of our favorite Chance moments over the last 2 years (besides the photos from our RV trip we’ve already bombarded you with ha!):
