THE SHINE PROJECT

This weekend My friend Amanda and I had the privelege of participating in the first group SHINE project set up by Ashley. 

We volunteered for 2 hours at a womens shelter. Amanda and I ended up helping to rearrange the entire houswares section of their donation center. It really felt like such a little task and only took up 2 hours of our Saturday and made me feel a little like a jerk for not doing something like that more often 😉

Thanks Ashley for doing the “hard” work and setting it up so that all we had to do was show up. Thanks Amanda for coming with me! Here’s a group pic of some of the gorgeous women who were there helping out

I love Ashleys project and I encourage everyone to check out her site and find a way for you to SHINE in your life. I loved when others vonlunteering wanted to know what kind of group we were. I kind of chuckled and said “Um a bunch of random people from the internet” Seriously though I love that a group of women can get together who aren’t necessarily of the same religion, beliefs, political views etc. but be a light in the world and give up a couple hours of their day to SHINE. Thanks Ashley!
