We’re moving! In a whirlwind of a decision (like everything happening in the last few weeks) we decided to move closer to the boys’ school. It’s super fun for me because I get to start all over with fun DIY projects but as anyone who has moved before knows, moving is STRESSFUL. I figured this was an awesome time to run out of contacts and of course mine aren’t in stock. I have been needing new eyeglasses for years anyway so I
was forced decided that now would be a great time to get a new pair. I happened to be chatting with GlassesShop.com after finding them online and they offered to send me a complimentary pair to share my experience with you. I actually ended up buying another pair anyway because if I’m going to be wearing them often, I need options!
I have purchased eyeglasses online before so I knew a few things about choosing a pair I would like going in (like measuring a pair you like and using those dimensions when picking a new pair). I have a high prescription. Mine is -5.25 which means lenses that used to look like glass bottles. GlassesShop.com has the option to order premium lenses with an index of 1.67 which means that even with my high prescription, I can order the trendier larger frames with a thinner profile. Mine still stick out, I knew they would, but SO much less than my old lenses and they are so light! These are the Sagittarius Rectangle frame.
They have some awesome frames and incredible deals.
I’ve worn mine for weeks now and they are comfortable, fashionable and holding up beautifully to my not-so-gentle handling.
Here is the other pair I purchased for more of a casual look.
I can’t wait to buy more, I’m just trying to decide what I want to get! I’m thinking a clear lens would be fun. I also need to order a new pair of prescription sunglasses (which they do as well). If you want to try them out I have a coupon code for you to use to get 50% off on eyeglasses and sunglasses with free standard lenses(sale frames excluded) just use code GSHOT50 when checking out!
