“What’s for dinner?” “Food” “What kind of food?” “Food you can eat.” “Daaaaaddd!!!” Do you have this conversation daily in your house? Whether you do or not, I’ve got a solution for you at the request of my oldest – a printable dry erase menu for the kitchen!

I’m trying to get better at meal planning (I’m TERRIBLE at it) and I’ve been doing pretty good lately. I thought this would not only solve the “what’s for dinner” problem but also keep me on track with following through on recipes I bought food for.
The boys have been helping me find new recipes to try and always have requests for old favorites. A menu helps me visualize the meals and what foods can overlap or be used again (tacos/taco salad) and is also a great reminder of what I had planned to make.
To make your own just print out this free file (I always print on cardstock), place in a frame and fill in with a dry erase marker! I’m excited to get these extra-fine tip markers because I think they’ll work better for this purpose. I’ve seen a few of these online but couldn’t find anything that was really my style (or that was just black and white) so if you’re a more colorful person you can write on this menu with different colored dry erase markers, or just search for weekly menu printables online!
I put mine in a larger 16×20 frame, but an 8×10 works too.
Mine is now hung in this small walkway between my kitchen and the hall. A perfect spot that’s not necessarily on display for regular guests but someplace we walk by every day. Do you have some sort of menu displayed in your house?
