It’s no secret that I have mad love for Target. I’m there at least twice a week (and that’s a busy, can’t get to the store week). Lately I have a new favorite aisle in the home section.
Have you been lately? They have some REALLY fun new products in the Devine Color line. I mean, look at those gorgeous colors! While walking down the aisle the other day I picked up a roll of the diamond wallpaper. The wallpaper is peel and stick AND repositional which made me think that there was a possibility I could manage it. I had picked up a small shelf at Target months ago to use as an inexpensive bedside table but all I did was put it together and throw it next to the bed.
If you’re shopping, don’t forget to use the Target Cartwheel app (love the scanning feature) AND Target Red Card for extra savings! I love getting the receipt and seeing my total savings add up over the year.
The shelf was a bit dark in this area and I hadn’t taken the time to get any matching baskets or do anything else with it so when I saw the wallpaper I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
I carefully pulled the back off the shelf (would have been so much easier if I would have thought of this BEFORE putting the shelf together) and carefully started applying the wallpaper.
It was very easy to apply and reposition but still stuck and stayed in place well. It was also super simple to smooth out.
Since the backing was being nailed back onto the shelf I just overlapped the edge a bit with the wallpaper.
The hardest part was pulling the back off. The wallpaper was so easy to apply and reposition if needed but it adheres well enough that I don’t worry about it coming off at all. The seams matched up perfectly!
I had picked up a few other fun things at Target and shopped around the house to finally finish up my little space next to the bed.
Another fun DIY project in the books. Onto the next!
What would you use the Devine Color wallpaper for?

This is such a cute yet easy makeover to this piece! I actually have something like this that could use something like this!
I keep looking around the house wondering what else I can makeover!
I love it! I have been doing a lot of DIY stuff in my house and making an old piece of furniture look awesome makes decorating a house even more fun!
I agree! I get so excited when I can make an older piece take on a whole new look!
What a fun idea!! I love it!!
Thanks Karen!
That is such a cute stand, first off, and secondly I love adding the fun print as the back splash! Great idea!
Thank you so much!
I am mad for Target too! I actually think this is a brilliant idea for a bedside table. Mine is always piled with books and stuff! Beautiful DIY!
I kept piling on my old table too! This was pretty inexpensive compared to some chests or nightstands and there is a lot more storage space for books and notebooks!
that is a really neat idea! I love it and will have to find a project to incorporate this into-love how it looks-thanks for sharing
Thank you! Be careful – it’s addicting 😉
What a great way to add a pop of colour to the shelves!
And so easy without the time and commitment of paint!
That is adorable! I’d been admiring the wallpaper, and it looks like your Target has an even wider selection than mine. I hadn’t thought to go online or check other stores, but I will now. Thanks!
Good luck!
Love the idea of wallpaper on the back of a shelf. You have inspired me for a bookshelf that is languising in my basement!! Who knew Target had wallpaper!!
Right?! It’s so fun to makeover furniture and give it new life!
What a cute and easy way to make a statement on an often overlooked piece of furniture. You make it look so simple! So doing this with mine.
Also, I love the print, may I ask where you found it?
Thank you! The print is from Vol25 etsy shop! https://www.etsy.com/listing/62098804/sailing-the-storm?ref=shophomeactive_1
I will keep this in mind when we move. I want to revamp some things with the relocation.
