Wine Cork Memorabilia Gift Tag or Keychain

There’s just something about a night with girlfriends. The stories that come out, the laughter, the bonding. We are all so busy these days that these nights always mean so much to me. Often times they aren’t planned, just an extension after dinner or a random “hey we’re not doing anything tonight either” so having a couple of snacks (popcorn, chocolate etc.) and a bottle of wine on hand always comes in handy.  I actually grabbed a few bottles of Callie Collection wine on my last trip to the store and I’m so glad I did!

Callie Collection is sourced in Central California and available in three varietals, a bright Pinot Grigio, balanced Chardonnay, and a fresh Red Blend (my personal favorite). All three are balanced and easy to drink with great aromas and fresh flavors, so a perfect choice for any type of friend.

One thing I LOVE about the Callie Collection is their corks! Their wine is the first in the US market to feature an easy twist off/twist on cork (Helix closure). This provides the sophistication (and memorabilia options) of cork with the convenience of the screw cap.

So where does the memorabilia come in? When you have a memorable night (or maybe it’s just the first night in a LONG time you’ve gotten together), screw off that cork and write the date, names, details, or anything else you like right on the cork. Then save it.

I keep all our corks just in case I feel the need to make something 😉 If you save these up, you’ll be able to use them all at the end of the year or for birthdays as gifts and gift tags!

To make your keychain, tag or ornament just screw in an eye hook (I used a #214 x 13/16)

attach a jump ring and a keychain or hook of some sort and you’re good to go! I love how the Callie Collection corks make these even more unique.

Then when you give a gift to your friend and they’re wondering why there’s a cork attached they can see the date and whatever else you wrote on it and be reminded of your fun night. You could also make these into ornaments!
