Parker and I recently took a little trip (just the 2 of us) to Disneyland and to check out the D23 Expo for the first time. We were only at Disneyland for 5 or 6 hours but we had a great time together!
Colton wasn’t even upset that he didn’t get to go because he got to spend some one on one time with Dad. We found some new favorites to add to our Disneyland list. One of those, is that the Disneyland Hotel has Mickey ice cream bars in the little shop in the lobby. The parks either run out or stop selling these in the evening because we looked (and asked) ALL over the night we were there and couldn’t find one. Luckily I had the brilliant idea to check the Disneyland Hotel when we were in Downtown Disney and they had them! It would be a great way to grab a treat even if you don’t go into the parks.
Another was the new allergy friendly (gluten free for me) menu at Storyteller Cafe in the Grand Californian. They had a great gluten free flatbread and we both got SO full on what we ordered that we didn’t even have room for the dessert we were planning. It ended up being a really great value and we’ll definitely be back.
I’m not big on sugary drinks but Parker convinced me to try a new treat. We ordered the watermelon lemonade at the Mad T party (in California Adventure in the evenings). It really was so good and at $4 not bad!
Here are a few more photos of our visit!
The new photo spots for the Diamond Celebration are SO good. We missed this Haunted Mansion one last time so I’m glad we remembered to get one this time!
And we even made a video for the YouTube channel (when I remembered to take video).
