If you follow me on Instagram you are well aware that we were back in my happy place (the beach) a few weeks ago. Actually, we were back in Carlsbad – this time to check out the Carlsbad Seapointe Resort through ResorTime!
I can’t tell you how much we love staying in rooms with full kitchens + the amenities of the big hotels. The Carlsbad Seapointe Resort is beautiful with calming rooms, great views and plenty of space to do hand stands.
There is a beach right across the street and you can check out towels, wagons, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys etc from the resort! There are several different beaches nearby if there is something in particular you look for in a beach. The one across the street here is a little rocky near the shore (the boys liked finding the rocks) and depending on the tide and weather if you want to surf/body board you may want to drive a few minutes to one of the other beaches.
We had a really fun family dinner at the Grand Pacific Palisades (that has a secret entrance to Legoland). I love the service ResorTime offers even more each time I get to talk with the awesome people that work with them. We’re even thinking of trying out one of the properties they rent out on Kauai next year (you know how much I’m in love with Kauai and we need a good small family place to refer friends to).
We love Carlsbad (sad we didn’t get a chance to surf with the guys at SoCal Surf Lessons) and will likely be back again soon! They had some great deals going at the Carlsbad Seapointe and we were already plotting a trip with friends. It would be a great place to get together and just be. We love making our own food and there’s a Costco and a Ralph’s nearby so the guys have access to all they need to cook us amazing meals 😉
Going through ResorTime means that you’ll get the home like accommodations that allows for a bit more relaxation, preparing some meals yourself but with the best parts of hotel amenities. They have properties ALL over the place so if you’re planning a vacation for next year definitely check them out first. Especially because I have a 20% off code for you to use that’s through through 2014 for travel anytime between now and 2015 (just not on holidays)!

The resort looks lovely and I think that’s the same spot on the beach where we stopped on Friday. We were on our way out of town so we didn’t have much time but the boys would have stayed at the beach all day long!
What a fun trip! The place you stayed at looks awesome too, love those sea lion sculptures.
