Last weekend we had the pleasure of experiencing life in Estrella with our partners at Estrella by Newland Communities in Goodyear, AZ. They have such a great way to experience what life might be like for your family in their community with the Resident for a Day Program. We got to do just that and after a day of boating, eating, swimming, and more, we can say that it’s a fantastic community for ALL types of families.

What is Resident for a Day?

The Resident for a Day program at Estrella allows guests to experience some of the amenities available to the Estrella master planned community. Estrella has a huge list of things to do, see, and experience in their community which makes them a great option for families to buy in. Potential homeowners coming from a neighborhood that’s not part of community may be unsure of what it means to live in a community like Estrella or just may want the chance to see how their family likes the area. This is the perfect way to really get to experience life in Estrella.

To participate all you need to do is just sign up on their site. A representative will contact you and set you all up!

Once your scheduled day arrives you can start at the New Home Information Center. They’ll have a signed lanyard for your family allowing you to access the amenities. From there you can explore their lakes, Yacht Club, 2 Residents Clubs with pools/water play areas and restaurants, model homes, trails, golf, and more!

Our Resident for a Day Experience

We started our day at the beautiful New-Home Information Center where we learned a bit more about the community. The center is located near some of their community events like farmers markets, and even live ballet and music performances.

From there, we went straight to the Yacht Club to explore the water a bit. We rode around in a paddle boat and saw turtles and large Koi fish in addition to taking in the gorgeous scenery!

After our tour of the lake we went to check out the active Starpointe Residents Club. It was bustling with activity (but not too crowded) in the gym and the fun family StarSplash WaterPark. I even saw a few grandparents excitedly trying out the waterslide. So fun! I noticed that they also had a library and a youth club. So LOTS for families to do here.

We grabbed some lunch there at Lakeside Grill where the food and view were both great! They even had gluten free options for me. Our favorite was the Southern Grilled Shrimp! There were a couple other families there taking advantage of lunch so close to home as well.

After lunch we wanted to check out some model homes so we went over to the Beazer model homes. We actually all love checking out models and it was so fun to see these. The Merlot Model was our favorite but we could see ourselves living in either!

We drove around the neighborhood a bit to see the different parks and trails. I loved all the great details at the parks located throughout. Parker commented that their high school looked pretty cool too!

I wanted to see both residents clubs so we drove over to Presidio and were surprised to see how different it looked and felt than Starpointe. I love that they have such different styles. We lounged by the gorgeous pool for a while and worked up an appetite for dinner.

Parker was super excited for dinner at Casa Del Mar because he had already checked out their extensive, unique pizza menu! Casa Del Mar was the perfect choice for dinner after the pool. We cooled off with some drinks and Parker chowed down on his Cantina Pizza that had crushed Doritos on top!

As we drove home we noticed how gorgeous the area is. It’s such a beautiful community and has so much to offer families and even a village and Residents Club specifically for 55+ homeowners.
