We were SO lucky to get to check out another one of ResorTime‘s awesome properties last weekend in Carlsbad, CA as part of a sponsored press trip. This time we stayed at Grand Pacific Palisades and if you’ve ever seen the Carlsbad flower gardens (or Legoland) then you’ve seen Grand Pacific Palisades! It sits on the hill right above the gorgeous flowers!
We arrived at night and the boys had thrown stuff all over the room before I took pictures but I still wanted to show you what this 2 bedroom suite looked like. 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen AND 2 bathrooms.
We were tired when we finally got in on Friday night but definitely ready to go the next day when we woke up to this view (and the boys HAD to check out the activity center with air hockey, video games and more).
We actually had NO plans this trip which was super nice so we spent the first day at the beach.
We ate lunch on the beach but when we were hungry for dinner we headed back to our room because we had some awesome plans for a relaxing dinner that night! The boys though, had plans for more water time in their family water park.
Our dinner plans? Crab legs, steak and asparagus on our patio. Jared fired up the grill (which conveniently happened to be right outside our room).
It was absolutely perfect.
The next day the boys talked us into taking them to the San Diego Zoo since we had never taken them. They LOVED it!
We headed back towards Carlsbad and ended up taking one last walk on the beach and pier at Oceanside Beach which is just north of Grand Pacific Palisades.
Another awesome weekend in the books and a little fill up of my “ocean tank”. I missed it too much!
We LOVE using ResorTime to book our vacations. I’ve said it before but having a full kitchen is so nice and the boys always love the hotel amenities like awesome pools. They have tons of great properties all over at great prices that are great for families, big groups (we still plan on booking a big friend trip to Carlsbad one of these days) or just a couple for a getaway!
