So I had originally planned to do my Traveler’s Notebook along the way on the RV trip. Once we got started though, I just wanted to enjoy the trip and do nothing. So that’s what I did.
If you’re not familiar with it the Midori Traveler’s Notebook is a really fun system of recording…whatever you want. A lot of scrapbookers are using it as another form of memory keeping and I’m always up for trying something “new” (the Traveler’s Notebooks have ben around for a while).
This is one notebook that can go inside of a leather cover where you can hold several notebooks, envelopes, pockets or whatever you want depending on how you’re using it. I’m using it here like a mini album that can be used inside a Notebook cover or pulled out to be looked at on it’s own.
I like the page size (about 4.25″ x 8.25″) and I’m always up for memory keeping with no rules.
I started off my RV notebook with a map of our first leg of the trip and a couple of my favorite photos from the first day. I don’t plan on documenting every moment in this notebook but I do have some fun memorabilia I want to add along with some memories here and there.
Trying something new, even if it is just a new size is sometimes all you need to kick start the creative juices. And sometimes, it’s just fun to make something. I’m using pieces in my stash which is another reason I’m excited to work on this. It’s fun to work with new product but sometimes you need to start something to use up what you have!
