I’ve gotten some gluten contamination a few times lately and it is NOT fun. All the sores pop up in my mouth and it is painful to eat, drink, or talk. All of my nutrition comes from whatever I can drink over a course of 5 days or so. Better than more than a month before I discovered it was gluten but still not fun and still not good for me. I need to get better at making sure what I eat is safe.

Anyway, the point of this post was to share a yummy smoothie I’ve been consuming the last few days. Usually its a combo of greens (kale, spinach, chard) blended with a little water or coconut milk, and whatever fruit I have around fresh or frozen.

I made this one the last couple of days because I’ve had a ton of cherries

I’d love to tell you quantities but I have no idea. It contains:

cherries (fresh or frozen), bananas (fresh or frozen), raw cacao powder, raw cacao nibs, chia seeds, sometimes some Amazing Grass Amazing Meal chocolate powder (since I’m not eating anything), a little raw almond milk and/or ice if needed

I think my favorite smoothie this summer has been

kale, coconut milk, pineapple, banana, mango, and shredded coconut – I need to go get the ingredients to make this again. Makes me think of Hawaii!
