I LOVE teaching and I love photography. Even though I bring my “big camera” with me when traveling, my phone really does get the most use. I am so excited to be teaching a class at Big Picture Classes all about phone photography! It’s called Love Your Phone Photos and it starts SOON!

I’ve taught a few classes over at Big Picture Classes. Mostly mini albums but when they asked if I’d teach a masterclass (a more in-depth version of their awesome classes) I jumped at the chance. This class is all about improving your photography – your PHONE photography!

Love Your Phone Photos Photography Class

It really focuses on basic photography principles and how to use those to improve your photos. I made a printable worksheet for each class and have lots of examples. There is a class message board and gallery so students and I can upload photos, interact, ask questions, and encourage each other throughout the process!

There are 9 total lessons:

Introduction – You don’t need fancy equipment to shoot pictures you love. Capture great photos with your phone!
Light – Great lighting is key to great photos. Learn how to find the best light & use it to your advantage!
Composition Basics – Set yourself up for success with great composition!
Framing – Take your photos to the next level with tips and tricks for framing.
Lines & Angles – You’ll love the great effects you’ll get when you use lines and angles to your advantage!
Action Shots – Freeze a moment in time with actions shots. Learn my best tips and tricks for getting THE shot!
Non People – Practice makes perfect with still life photography. Find out how to get great shots in this lesson!
Backgrounds – Picking the right background for your subject can make all the difference. Learn what to look for!
Shoot With Me – Let’s put everything we’ve learned together and shoot an everyday scene!
