Last year I wrote about our life in Estrella experience thanks to our partners at Estrella by Newland in Goodyear, AZ. They have a Resident for a Day program that allows guests to visit the community and experience what life is like for residents first hand! This year the newest village, Lucero, officially opened and I took the whole family up to check it out. From the perfect coffee/snack shop to bike rentals and lawn games – Lucero in Estrella has a ton to offer residents (and residents for a day). Add in all the rest of the amenities in the community and you’re going to have to really pick and choose what you want to experience at Estrella when you visit!

What is Resident for a Day at Estrella?

You can read ALL about the Resident for a Day program from our first visit here. But, to recap, the Resident for a Day program at Estrella allows guests to experience amenities available to the Estrella master-planned community. Things like playing poolside, hiking one of the many trails, visiting the Yacht Club or Residents Clubs, and more!

To participate all you need to do is just sign up on their site. A representative will then contact you to coordinate your visit!

When you arrive, they’ll set you up with a lanyard and you’ll be good to go to experience the community as you would if you were a resident.

Our Resident for a Day Experience at Lucero

Casa Lucero is the newly opened village hub, hangout, and new Information Center for Estrella and it’s absolutely gorgeous! When you arrive, you’ll get to experience the new home information center along with Café Bebida. The Information Center is so much more than information because it was really built as the perfect central gathering spot for residents.

The staff at Estrella will give you such great info about the community. You’ll get to learn all about what makes Estrella a great place to live and then get to experience some of the amenities yourself. Since we visited so many of the other great resident spots on our last visit, we wanted to see ALL that Lucero had to offer this time around.

Café Bebida is a great first spot when you arrive. They serve cold brew, espresso drinks, coffee, tea, baked treats (including gluten-free options), gelato, and even a Cronnini which we learned is a stuffed croissant grilled on a panini press!

After visiting Café Bebida and lounging in the information center, we headed out to the inviting lawn for some games. I love that they have a café with food, and also have a Ramada and other amenities for residents to enjoy.

Copper State Bike and Hike is new to the Estrella community and is such a great resource! They offer bike rentals, sales, and repairs. We quickly learned that we needed new bikes and LOVED this amenity that is available to residents! As a “Resident for a Day” you get a free rental so we had to try out a few of the community trails. Living in the gorgeous desert, this is definitely a fun, family way to see the area whether you stay on the paved roads, check out the bike park, or one of the many area trails.

One of the things on my list to see while we were residents for the day at Estrella was the Star Tower. The Star Tower is a 50-foot tall climb to some of the best views in the community! It was built as the landmark to Estrella and inspires a love of astronomy in the community. It’s a beautiful spot to visit any time of day so definitely take a stroll over from Lucero when you visit!

We packed in ALL of this just at Lucero. Combined with all the other amenities in the community, you’ll wish you had more than a day as a resident at Estrella. Check out their site or call 623.386.1000 for more information and to sign up for Resident for a Day.
