We visit Disneyland / California Adventure at least once a year. We absolutely LOVE everything about Disney. My oldest is a bit obsessed with Disney history and trivia. Disneyland is one of my favorite places to “eat out” with a gluten allergy because they are SO accomodating and have never made me feel like I was a burden or a pain (you know the feeling). The chef comes out and talks to you personally, will prepare your meal, and walks out with it held high to try and prevent any form of cross contamination and all with a smile.
We visited last October (you can read about that HERE where there are a LOT more photos and info on eating gluten free at the parks) but I got a chance to meet up with some other blogger friends for a fun little night this last weekend. I’m glad we ate in Carsland because I hadn’t had a chance to try the food there!
We ate at the Cozy Cone Motel and while I obviously couldn’t have pretzel bites, there was 2 options for “dinner”. I got the Chile con Carne “cone”. It wasn’t a cone because the cone is made of bread however the filling is gluten free. The employees changed thier gloves and got a new spoon, and scooped me up a bowl! It was surprisingly good with (in my opinion) the right amount of kick. Not enough to make me sweat but definitely enough to notice it (kids who don’t like spicy won’t want this one but my 10 year old would have loved it). The bowl was small but actually took me a bit to eat it and ended up being the perfect portion for me.
It was the perfect little meal for the freezing cold night we were there. My love for eating gluten free at Disneyland / California Adventure continues!
