If you’re like me you may have seen Main Event pop up in your town but haven’t been in to experience it yet. Well, the boys and I are always looking for new things to do around town (especially to break up the week) so we decided to check it out!

To be completely honest, I didn’t have super high expectations. I figured it would be like some other similar venues, but I was actually very pleasantly surprised. I love how it’s open and laid out. It’s designed so that Jared and I could sit at the bar and enjoy relaxing while the boys play arcade games, do the ropes course or play game after game of laser tag.

We arrived late afternoon and decided to bowl first so we could play while we got some food. The interactive themed bowling environments and my favorite “You Toons” kept me entertained for 2 hours. No joke.

We don’t order food often at bowling alley’s because it’s usually just “ok” (and they rarely have gluten free options for me) but our Main Event actually does have a gluten free pizza that was really good, great mixed drinks, wine, beer and food that is elevated way above food you’d expect at a place like this. The boys wanted to order shareable type food and everything we ordered was really delicious. Their full menu looked great and we’ll definitely order again when we come back!

After we ate and got sore from all the bowling (I so wish I was joking – I bowled so much my hip is sore lol!!) the boys wanted to try out the gravity ropes.

They loved it of course, but the 2 things I appreciated here were the employees running it, and the fact that they had shoes/socks for my desert kid who only wears flip flops. The employees running this area were SO nice, helpful and awesome with the kids. Parker even commented on it!

Next up was laser tag and both boys agreed it was their favorite laser tag in the valley! Actually, because they loved it so much, we’re going back with friends for Parker’s 14th birthday AND before that so they can take Jared. They LOVED it. I relaxed at the bar a bit and they would run out with big smiles and go back to sign up for the next game. So fun.

Of course they loved the games. They had a lot of their favorites including Star Wars Batlepods and I can never pass up some skeeball.

We seriously spent 4 1/2 hours here and it did not feel like it! None of us could believe we were there that long. We can’t wait to go back to play some pool and shuffleboard with Jared (along with more bowling and laser tag of course) and like I mentioned, we already have plans to go back for birthday celebrations. That’s how much fun they had.

I’m SO glad we decided to finally check it out. It is for sure our new favorite hang out spot for fun nights like this. I can’t wait to go back with some friends! Some of their locations even have rock climbing, mini golf, bocce ball and karaoke.

If you are thinking about going October 10th is National Head for Fun Day where they’ll have some fun for FREE! Have you been to Main Event yet?!
