Do you stick to the same recipes all the time or do you like to try new things? I love trying new recipes but I’ll admit to being afraid of how they’ll turn out or if we’ll like them enough for the work it takes to get through some of them!

I’ve made quite a few new recipes I’ve found online lately and thought I’d share some of the ones we really liked and will add to the official family recipe book (or just a Pinterest board).

This dill pickle pasta salad from Spend with Pennies was SO good. I figured I’d like it because I love pickles and dill and pasta but it really was better than I was expecting. I used gluten free pasta (which doesn’t come in shells) so it maybe could have used a bit more sauce and/or less pasta but it was fantastic either way and would have been good with some chicken as a meal too!

I’ve never made homemade baked beans and there are about a million different recipes out there. This recipe for brown sugar baked beans from Pinch of Yum turned out GREAT, in fact my oldest said that I definitely had to make it again. I messed up and added the sugar before baking but it turned out great. For this one I would say to not judge it until you add the salt at the end. It really brought out the flavors.

I am a huge cookie fan and this simple oatmeal chocolate chip recipe from King Arthur Flour was great. Another “regular” to add to the rotation. I had little amounts of random gf flour so I just mixed it all together. I also added a bit of cinnamon.

I was so excited that this recipe for basil chicken and coconut curry from 12 Tomatoes turned out well. I struggle with slow cooker recipes (I just feel like a lot of them taste/feel the same) this was delicious and super filling over some rice. I’ll definitely be making this one again.

Have you had any new “recipe wins” lately? I’d love to hear!
