I have always loved finding new ways to surprise the boys. Little new ways to serve their breakfast, fun little gifts for holidays or just a note in their lunch box. They’ve always loved how they get extra sweets around the holidays too. This chocolate bunny Easter shake is fun, portable and adorable (not to mention so easy)! A perfect way to surprise the kids, or yourself I won’t judge, this Easter season.

The best part about these chocolate Easter bunny shakes is that if you use the bunnies wrapped in foil, you can walk around with them without the chocolate melting anywhere. Start with a foil wrapped HOLLOW chocolate bunny.

Tear off a bit of the foil around the ear(s).

Cut the tip off the ear until you have enough space to add a funnel and straw.

Prep all your bunnies ahead of time the same way. Bonus – you get to eat the cut off chocolate!

Next, make your shakes! You can go super simple with a vanilla shake (which is what we did) or get fancy with Easter candy mix ins. Just make sure if you do use chunks of candy that they get ground up enough to go through whatever size straw you have.

Carefully pour your shake into your bunny cup with a funnel. Gently tapping the bunny/funnel to work the shake down.

The smaller bunnies don’t hold a lot of shake, but that’s ok because if you’re going to eat the bunny after, you don’t need a ton of shake anyway.

Add some whipped cream and a straw.

A cherry (or candy egg) on top is always a fun touch too.

These would be perfect to fill with milk for brunch or even a cocktail for dinner with friends.

My boys are all about the shakes. Happy Easter!

  1. This is so fun! Did you use the Lindt chocolate bunnies? And what size?

These ones were Whitman’s but any hollow chocolate bunny works great! Anywhere from 3-5oz is the size I like to use so it’s not super huge.

  2. That is an adorable idea. Thanks for sharing.
