I don’t know about you, but I’ve had times where I wished I could set up a party. Celebrating a life victory, dropping by a friend’s to cheer them up, or just a random long week needing a fun girl’s night. A lot of times setting up a party takes some prep work that I just don’t have time for and even more work when I think about putting them together at the lake, the beach or while camping. I recently discovered that having a little kit ready makes throwing an impromptu party together SO easy – including individual servings of Stacked Wine in Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon.
These Stacked Wines are SO perfect to keep on hand for an instant party anywhere. Woodbridge has been around for 30 years and is a well known, good quality wine. These single serving glasses are adorable, convenient and totally the centerpiece of this “party in a box”.
You can put together a party anytime you have free time (or find super cute party supplies) and you’ll be ready when the mood strikes to throw a party anywhere. To make your own, you’ll need:
- Stacked Wines – you can get good quality wines in this super fun, convenient format from Mark West, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvign and Simi.
- Party supplies like a banner, drink markers, fun picks or skewers, plates, napkins etc. – pick these up whenever you see supplies you just love in store. Look for seasonal items, clearance products or even the dollar section!
- Twinkle lights (in case your party lasts into the night)
- Cutlery wrapped in napkins for style and ease of use
Having the cutlery separated adds party details along with the obvious usefulness. Making all of this up ahead of time means tons of time saving and extra special details for your friends or family. To make cutlery rolls you’ll need napkins in your party theme, cutlery, scrapbook paper or cardstock and adhesive.
Trim your paper to 3/4″ x 7.5″ or so.
Wrap your cutlery up tightly in the napkin, adhere with adhesive (do yourself a favor and just go straight for the hot glue), then trim the ends.
You could also wrap these up with washi tape. I like wrapping them up tightly so they stay together until you decide to use them.
Add your napkins, cutlery rolls and other party supplies into a box.
Place these supplies into a decorative box with your Stacked Wine, plates (I love using inexpensive plastic plates for stability), lights, blankets or anything else you might want to have ready.
When the time comes to bring a party to a friend, the beach or camping you’ll just need to stop at the store on the way for snacks.
When you get to your party location, set up a fun spot to sit. You could use blankets and pillows, camp chairs or even hammocks.
You can hang your party supplies from anything you find at your party location. Look for things like light stands, chairs, fences, trees or posts.
If you used decorative boxes to bring your supplies you can use them as part of your party set up.
Place your white wines (or even red if it’s hot out) and other drinks on ice.
Aren’t those little individual servings of Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Chardonnay adorable?! I love that they stack together or come apart.
You can bring whatever snacks works with your party guests. My “go to’s” are chips & guac, popcorn, fruit, individual containers of brie, meats like salami or prosciutto, cupcakes or chocolate.
The twinkle lights? Those are perfect for when your party lasts after dark. A bit of music and good company doesn’t make that hard to do!
Now I think I’ll head to the store to pick up some more party supplies and Stacked Wine to put together another party in a box for the next time the inspiration strikes! Looking for even more inspiration? Check out the EntertainAndPair Social Hub for more entertaining ideas.
