My Facebook feed is always inundated with things people are thankful for in November. I won’t say that I hate it because I don’t, but I believe in being thankful always. I am thankful for my kids everyday (even when they make smoke come out of my ears). I am thankful for my house every moment I’m in it (or out of it). I realize that being publicly thankful on Facebook doesn’t mean that those people aren’t thankful the rest of the year because I know that they are I just want to think beyond November. How to push my kids to realize the little things they are thankful for everyday.

Maybe today it’s orange juice in a champagne glass and tomorrow it’s for new winter grass.  On a horrible no good very bad day maybe you’re thankful for a clean pillowcase or a second alone at 11:59pm. It’s one of the reasons I love Instagram. A place to capture thankfulness in a photo even if it’s 1/100th of a second out of an insane day.

And this is why I’m not a writer because I don’t know how to put my thoughts into words so I’ll just post photos instead.

What little things are you thankful for?
